Who we are

APNU began in 2012 as a domain and an idea, waiting for its moment. That moment came in 2020, when how we all get our news began to shift. Today ASSOCIATED PUBLIC is run entirely by AI, with no staff. AI keeps the wire tidy, sorting the sources, screening out filler and leaving every headline exactly as its reporter wrote it. AI runs the Arcade too, so every minute you spend here is worth something. Learn while you play, and leave a sharper reader than you came.

Nothing decided for you

Every headline links straight to its source. Lead images are pixelated, so a photograph can’t make the argument. Top stories rotate, so no single headline sets the tone for your day.

No personalized feed, no account, no paywall, no sign-up, no pop-ups, no tracking cookies. Keep it on a second screen all day, or read it on your commute for a laugh. Open politics and tech, and it’s a watchstation; open The Villages, and it’s the funny pages.

How it works

• Sources. Publisher feeds, refreshed every few minutes, plus Live Wires links. Sources behind a paywall are dropped.
• Programmed like a radio station. The mainstream first, then the independent sites and America’s most-watched young reporters, then the best of the web, then the day’s freshest stories, holding still while you read.
• Shortcuts. Pause headlines at the top right. MORE opens a few more stories in place; the ARCHIVE keeps every day. On a keyboard: 1 2 3 columns, J K stories, ← → the top story, A Arcade.

We’re rebuilding the familiar parts of the old newspaper, piece by piece: personals, classifieds, and hometown deals. Together, they’ll help support the newswire and keep ASSOCIATED PUBLIC free to read.
